"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." - Normally attributed to Sir Winston Churchill
Dear EOB Supporters,
Whew! What a year. After the unyielding upheaval of 2020, we all had our eyes on 2021 with uncertainty and hope. The year did not disappoint. We battled the Delta variant, natural disasters, and unprecedented inflation, but hope did not yield.
Thanks to your philanthropy and generosity through the years, over 1000 children experiencing homelessness have been celebrated. You have helped these children feel valued and inspired moments of delight in their lives. On their behalf, thank you. Thank you to all our supporters from the smallest donor to the largest. Thank you to every volunteer, shelter, and parent that has worked to make these extraordinary birthdays happen. You are all Extra-Ordinary Philanthropists!
Today, we embark on our Year-End Campaign Extraordinary Philanthropy: Empowering Our Community One Child at a Time. Our goal is to celebrate 100 more children experiencing homelessness in 2022 by raising $10,000 by December 31, but we cant do it without your help.
Philanthropy has some of the most impactful influences in our lives. It empowers us to be conscious of more than just ourselves. It helps us notice the world around us in a way that the average person does not. Giving isnt only about what it does for others; its also about what it does for us.
As the quote usually attributed to Sir Winston Churchill says, "we make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give."
Please join us by making your gift online through our website by December 31. No gift is too small. Be an Extraordinary Philanthropist in the lives of hundreds of amazing children experiencing homelessness in the greater Washington DC area.
We thank you and we love you for your continued support.
